In this paper (written as part of 60030 People in the Information Ecology), I reviewed the information needs and behaviors of family caregivers, how their needs are currently being addressed, and opportunities for improvement. In it, I described a world where information professionals could serve as a “hub” in caregivers’ ecology, to increase knowledge and skills; facilitate information sharing and support; and carry the exchange of information beyond the walls of a doctor’s office into patients’ day-to-day lives.
