In Dr. Marcia Zeng’s Knowledge Organization Structures, Systems and Processes course (60636), I developed a robust KOS for the Google Doodle Archive. Google’s current archive offers only a simple search, which limits flexibility in finding Doodles that align with particular subject areas or other criteria. In the report, I outline a semantic network, facets, pick lists, synonym rings, and a classification structure that would improve access to the rich history of historical Doodles. This project helped me better understand the complex structural and technological frameworks that can facilitate or hinder access to information for specific use cases.
The faceted semantic network below defines entities of my KOS and illustrates relationships among them:

The following report outlines other elements of the KOS, including facets, pick lists, synonym rings and classification structure.
"You are making a professional level KOS! The whole structure, instructions, and the details of the overall design are very impressive."
